I couldn't tell you the last time someone added me on jaiku and I get about 5-10 new followers on twitter. I only follow back the ones that look interesting right enough
I'm finding it harder and harder to follow Jaiku as my balance of conversation has definately moved to the blue channel. Yet I miss the more personal side of my Jaiku friends immensely.
Sadly I can't see Google going anywhere with Jaiku development quickly, especially after Jyri's last updates on the subject.
It'll happen, but will it be too late to save what was once the greatest of the online micro-blogging sites -- who knows?
which makes me think..why did google aquire jaiku in the first place ? just to get their foot in the microblogging arena in a "i'm here too" kinda move?

Just wait for twitter to have a couple of good meltdowns, and folks will be back.
