I've no idea if its stable or not, I haven't installed it yet.
Sp2 had been fine so if it ain't broken I ain't gonna try fixing
it. I have auto updates on too, what's wrong with that? Just auto
notifications not auto download and install.
Interesting. SP3 popped up. I said it can download. Then nothing
happened. For days. No install prompt, no nothing. This was a while
ago, but today the same thing happened to a friend. Ideas?
@bvlad: I did it previously
but had to reinstall XP from scratch because it would not load if
my external HD was connected! Apparently it was an issue and MS
were going to fix it, no word yet.

no! If you have an external drive you might want to reconsider.

I'm just not down with the auto update, especially with MS. I have my antivirus and spybot for auto updates fine. Just know MS will mess things up.

@bvlad: just get it manually, but I'll warn you it's pretty messy for some. I'm still running Sp2.

@adonisdemon: Well then I might not. After all, as @steves71 said, if nothing is broken, why fix?
